Terra Festivalis: Bulgaria

Our brand new section, Terra Festivalis, seeks to present the national cinematographies that have recently cracked into the international scene. This year, we are going to focus on Bulgaria and introduce a complex selection of films of various genres, ranging from casually existential dramas about adolescents to allegorical end-of-civilisation stories that take place somewhere in the timeless space of the Far North. Plus there will be three social dramas that contemplate the country’s destiny and its urgent problems.
