With our new concept we intend to simplify the structure of the festival programme, making it more comprehensible and attractive. Rather than introducing revolutionary changes, we decided to take an easy route towards replacing the old defunct patterns with new ones.
We have left behind the Focus section, which mapped the selected national cinematographies, and withdrew from Visegrad Horizons. We have highlighted the festival guests. To clearly illustrate the main tendency of the festival programming, we have introduced four basic blocks that draw on the past and refer to the future. They are HISTORY, PRESENT DAYS, CZECHO/SLOVAKIA and GUESTS. All four blocks have their relevance and are firmly anchored in the festival programme. Each of them is linked with the industry programme and consists of clearly defined programme sections. Our SFS programme is fresh and new, clear and coherent. There are blocks, sections and films for everyone.
