This year’s Unknown Soldier section covers the works of Grzegorz Królikiewicz, one of the most remarkable Polish filmmakers. Królikiewicz’s most erotic and also very mainstream film The Dancing Hawk is an adaptation of a rural novel from 1964. The story of a rise and fall of a man who seeks his career in the city was screened at the Polish Film Festival in Gdansk where it won one of the main prizes and publicized the topic of the Stalin era.
